I use a variety of materials to create my decorative art works. “Pendle Breeze” was created and inspired by the beautiful majestic Pendle Hill. This is a local landmark of the area the Ribble Valley Lancashire. I see the hill most days and often walk up there. The grasses are amazing, all uniform in size and colour they sway and sing in the breeze. It’s a very relaxing and comforting place to visit. I am inspired by the greens and purples that are present in the flora and forna, there are always hints of gold that glisten in the sunlight.
I use wax that is softened then add paints, acrylic and oils. I repeat this process layering up all the time. I then use tools to make embedded marks then cure using a heat process. When I’m happy with the colour ways and marks I finish using gold leaf. The whole painting is then sealed with an artists varnish to preserve and protect.
