About Beverley

Beverley also known as ‘Bevart’ is a free lance visual fine artist and art tutor working from her studio in the Ribble Valley Market Town of Clitheroe, Lancashire.

Beverley has numerous art related and teaching qualifications and is qualified in fine art to degree level. Beverley is passionate about teaching and learning teaching adults and school children. Her students range from beginner’s level to students with a more independent approach to learning. Her methods of teaching are based mainly on technique, this allows the learner to develop their own unique style and at their own pace. Beverley is a keen believer in drawing and painting from direct observation whether this being a landscape or still life.

Beverley also teaches painting holidays with partners the ‘Caves of Dreams’ based in the beautiful Sierra de Baza. The teaching and learning takes place en plein air for a week long holiday to remember . Beverley inspires her students to become more confident and creative artists.

Beverley has a wealth of experience working with a variety of mediums and materials, she is creative and inventive with some great ideas. Her personal practice is made up of plasterwork, large surreal sculptures and some ceramic work as well as oil paintings, watercolour paintings and life drawings.

Her current studio practice is mysterious, indulging, abstract 2d wax based art works on board incorporating gold leaf. The Gold Leaf gives the artwork importance and a decorative quality that will enhance any home.

Her inspiration for this new body of work is based on holidays and places she has visited from the local landscape around the Ribble Valley and as far away as India and Sri lanka. Beverley has also worked on many Community and Arts projects in schools around Lancashire.

Beverley is available for consultations, commissions and workshops.
